| 🎓 Eligibility Criteria 1. Senior Environmental Engineer The post is open to officers of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territory, recognised research institutes, autonomous bodies, statutory bodies and PSUs who: Hold an analogous post on a regular basis, or Have at least 5 years’ regular service in Level-11 (₹67,700–₹2,08,700) or equivalent; and Possess a Master’s degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognised university/institution; and Have 10 years’ experience in pollution control or a related field after acquiring the Master’s degree. The relevant engineering fields specified by DPCC include Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS and Hydrology. 2. Environmental Engineer Eligible officers must be from the Central/State Government, Union Territory, recognised research institute, autonomous body, statutory body or PSU and should: Hold an analogous post on a regular basis, or Have at least 5 years’ regular service in Pay Level-10 (₹56,100–₹1,77,500); and Possess either: Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognised university/institution; and 8 years’ experience in pollution control or related field after acquiring the Bachelor’s degree. OR Option 2: Master’s degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognised university/institution; and 6 years’ experience in pollution control or related field after acquiring the Master’s degree. The same specified engineering fields include Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS and Hydrology. 3. Assistant Environmental Engineer Candidates must be officers of the Central/State Government, Union Territory, recognised research institute, autonomous body, statutory body or PSU holding an analogous post on a regular basis. In addition, candidates should possess either: A Degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognised university/institution with 2 years’ experience in pollution control/related field, or A Master’s degree in Engineering from a recognised university. The relevant engineering fields specified by DPCC include Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS and Hydrology. 4. Additional Director (Scientific) Eligible officers from the Central/State Government, autonomous bodies, statutory bodies and PSUs should: Hold an analogous post on a regular basis, or Have at least 5 years’ regular service in Pay Level-12 (₹78,800–₹2,09,200) or equivalent. Educational and experience requirements include either: Master’s degree in Science with at least 15 years’ experience in pollution control or related subjects, or Doctorate in Science with at least 10 years’ experience in pollution control or related subjects. 5. Senior Scientist L-II (Scientist-D) Candidates should be officers of Central/State Government, autonomous bodies, statutory bodies or PSUs who: Hold an analogous post on regular basis, or Have at least 5 years’ regular service in Level-11 (₹67,700–₹2,08,700) or equivalent; and Possess a Master’s degree in Science with at least 13 years’ experience in pollution control or related subjects, or Possess a Doctorate in Science.
